Marina Kusadasi is a base point from which you can explore the Greek islands of Samos, the Fourni islands, Patmos und Agathonisi as they are all practically on your doorstep. But the Turkish coast on the way south also offers plenty bays and spots to rouse your interest.

An absolute must-see is the ancient town of Ephesos, which is only 30 minutes away from the marina. The once prosperous harbour now lies 8 km inland. Most of the well-preserved archaeological excavations at Ephesos date back to the Roman Empire.

On the whole, Kusadasi offers everything that you'd expect from a typical Turkish coastal city. The old town with its twisting alleys and the bazaar are especially worth visiting.
